This paper focuses on the grid-connected PV systems and their impact on the system transient stability. The modeling of the PV systems developed within the MATLAB Simulink environment is presented. The impact on the system transient stability with various PV penetration levels is examined through a numerical simulation conducted on the 9-bus test system.
