While the cognitive relationship between musical stimuli such as rhythmic auditory stimulation (RAS) and motor execution (ME) has been explored, little is still known about its effects on motor imagery (MI). In this study, we observed task-related neural responses to RAS and MI. An effective connectivity analysis also revealed similar bidirectional information flow between auditory and motor regions for MI and ME.
