Among different types of E-learning, Synchronous E-learning increases the student commitment and motivation to engage in education with quick responses through instant messaging or chat. Although virtual environment which is one kind of synchronous E-learning has face to face format and not establish powerful non-verbal communication yet. Establishment of connection between real student and Avatar who represent the student in virtual world, through facial expression which is one of the effective non-verbal communication methods, is the main achievement of this study. Real student facial emotions are extracted and transfer to the virtual world and visualize the real user facial emotion through Avatar in virtual environment. Group discussion was conducted with the facial emotion Avatars in virtual learning environment.
