By using multiple source and detector pairs attached to scalp, it can produce 2-D topographic image in real time. For imaging algorithm, commercially available devices adopt a simple back-projection method, however, the perfusion changes at different depth cannot be distinguished and the data are contaminated by skin perfusion. To suppress the disturbing signals from superficial skin layer, we have been proposed depth selective filtering method based on inverse problem.
