The conventional FSS has one resonant frequency in passband and two anti-resonant frequencies in stopbands. In this report, we propose a new FSS resonator, which constructs a passband by dual-mode resonance and also provides five transmission zeros in stopbands. The resonant mechanism of the proposed FSS is made clear by a numerical analysis.
