The stator is designed in three-dimensional structure with a soft magnetic composite. Active axial force is improved because supplemental windings can be installed in the soft magnetic composite stator. In addition, a comprehensive voltage equation is derived. As a result, basic equations of the torque and active axial force are presented. In experiments, it is confirmed that stable magnetic suspension and acceleration are successfully achieved.
