Tetragonally distorted bct FeCo structure was formed by adding N, which was further stabilized by Al addition. FeCoN and FeCoAlN films showed the axial ratio (c\/a) of 1.12 and 1.18, respectively. The FeCoAlN film showed the maximum Ku value of 1.24 × 107 erg\/cm3 at c\/a = 1.08, which was 13.8% larger than that of the FeCoN film.
