Biphasic intracortical stimulations (intensity: 5-80 μA, duration: 200 μs\/phase, frequency: 10-200 Hz) were delivered to the mouse primary visual cortex (V1). The cortical activities evoked by the stimuli were recorded with high speed CMOS image sensor (100×100 pixels, 1 ms\/frame). The activitiy evoked by the V1 stimulation spread within V1 and to extrastriate areas including latero-medial area (LM), which is homologous of human secondary visual cortex (V2). These activities were enlarged and magnified by the stimulation with higher frequency, subsequently the area shrank during the stimulation.
