First, the technology employs extremely simple pinpointoxidation process. Secondly, the perforation system is similar to printing instruments so it is easily adapted for automation and scale-up. Therefore, we will expand the technology for e.g. regenerative medicine and cell therapy. In this study, we developed a compact perforation system and cell membrane perforator. The system is designed as simple enough for labtool with spring pressurization, Chebyshev-linkage, and servo-motor. The perforator is made by nano imprintedPolydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) casted on the mold. The former perforator was fragile by air bubbleswhich were unavoidable by the process but we solved the problem and improved the manufactureefficiency. As a result, we could successfully apply the system to PC12 rat pheochromocytoma cells and introduced hydrophilic fluorescence dye Alexa594 into them.
