The HTS-ISM has high performance rotating characteristics, e.g., high efficiency thanks to the steady state synchronous drive, autonomous stability against the variable speed control. These advantages come from the non-linear property of critical current in the HTS. On the other hand, this physical quantity causes hysteretic rotating characteristics.
