In this study, an intelligent islanding detection scheme using variational mode decomposition-Hilbert transform of modal voltage signal features is proposed. The proposed scheme uses optimized multilayer perceptron to identify the islanding operations from other non-islanding events. To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, several datasets of islanding and non-islanding events including uncertainty are analyzed.
