The method is to be used to analyze the operating conditions and voltage profiles up to maximum loading condition. A continuation power flow method is used to avoid the singularity of the power flow Jacobian around the maximum loadability point. The paper also proposes a novel method for reactive power control to eliminate voltage violations. An optimization problem is formulated as MILP problem where the objective is to minimize the control operations subject to operation constraints. The method is able to deal with infeasibility of voltage regulation caused by insufficient reactive power capacities.
