This paper proposes a method for image template matching that is based on the order of density in local image area. This method sorts gray-levels of neighboring pixels to the horizontal direction in ascending order and position relations at that time are used for matching is performed between the templates that have the density order table of the pixels and an objective gray-scaled image.
