In order to avoid a mal-opereation of the protection relay, the relay operation is blocked in cabe of the second harmonics content in the in-rush current. Since the currents have a largeamount of DC conponent, the measuring CT sometimes migt be saturated and the precise detection of the earthing currents, and this might cause a mal-operation the the relay system.
