In train localization, there are inevitable measurement errors. To ensure safety, the deterministic design which anticipates the maximum possible error is used, and it results in an excessive safety margin. Therefore, to investigate the technique of stochastic localization based on the probability theory, we developed a simulator using a particle filter.
