Because of low-resolution sensors, precise and fast speed and acceleration information cannot be achieved at every samping time.  Therefore the authors propose multirate sampling observer which can estimate precise speed information at every sampling time.  The observer, moreover, can also estimate disturbance simultaneously with the speed.  The careful investigation confirms that the waveform of the estimated disturbance changes according adhesion force between rail and wheel.
