When an EMS Maglev system originally designed for a low-speed application like HSST is used for a higher-speed operation of about 200 km\/h, the influence of the eddy current becomes important. In this study, numerical analysis of such three-dimensional eddy current problems in the EMS-Maglev system has been carried out with nonlinear magnetic properties of the steel rails taken into account.
