Concerning the hot gas with higher electrical conductivity, the phenomena seem to result from ohmic heating to the hot gas. The present paper reports thermal breakdown voltage for high temperature CO\u003csub\u003e2\u003c\/sub\u003e and compares it with the breakdown voltage at a room temperature. For high temperature CO\u003csub\u003e2\u003c\/sub\u003ewith a conductance of 1 mS, the voltage of about 55 V induces the breakdown.
