Spherical alumina particles with 35 and 80 micrometer in diameter were used. For unimodal mixture, viscosity of the mixture increased significantly with the volumetric packing fraction of particle, and Brinkman equation can be applied to estimate viscosity from it. For bimodal mixture, viscosity depends not only on volumetric packing fraction , but also on the volume ratio of coarse particles to all particles.
