One of the most commonly used explosives is 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT), which results in severe effects on environment and human health. However, current sensing technologies for TNT are still far from fulfilling the requirements of sensitivity, selectivity and real-time detection. There is a great challenge to develop a technology that combines the selectivity, sensitivity and real-time detection. Here, we described a peptide for the detection of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene using surface plasmon resonance (SPR). In this study, peptide, TNT receptor, was synthesized and selected through light and heavy chain complementarity determining regions (CDR) of TNT monoclonal antibody via amino acid sequence.
