One of the solutions for this problem is rare-earth free motors such as switched reluctance motor. Advantages of a switched reluctance motor are low manufacturing cost, high reliability and robustness and disadvantages such as, high acoustic noise and vibration, and uncommon inverter circuit. In this paper, the reduction of noise and vibration in magnetically saturated region is investigated.
