In the conventional three-phase inverter-fed induction motor drive, the vector control method is known to attain better motor performance compared to the volts per hertz (V\/f) control method. In this paper, a comparison between V\/f control and vector control methods of two-phase inverter-fed three-phase induction motor drive is investigated using the same experimental apparatus.
