要約(日本語): 筆者は顔の特徴と音声的特徴が人生相談をしたくなるのか調査した。実験では男性５名の顔写真と音声を使い、各項目（魅力、ユーモア、オシャレ、友達になりたい、知性、穏やか、面白い、人生相談したい）で主観評価を実施。重回帰分析では、顔の特徴と音声的特徴で人生相談がオシャレ感と知性に関係があり、音響解析では、基本周波数の平均と標準偏差は魅力、ユーモア、人生相談に正の相関があった。実験結果と先行研究との間にいくつか矛盾はあるが適切な対応が多く見られた。今後は顔と音声の特徴と、それらの相互作用に注目し自己開示の可能性を高める方針である。

要約(英語): Some people often listen to his / her friends’ problems and some do not. We investigated what visual (facial) and voice features of persons, facilitate the likelihood to have life consultations. Five male persons (ranged 21 to 37 years old), were employed as the visual and auditory stimuli in this experiment. Their bust shots and the voice of reading the same four sentences were evaluated in eight different items subjectively (attractiveness, sense of humor, fashionability, willingness to be friends, intelligence, total interest, calmness and likelihood to have life consultations). Forty naive volunteers (18 males and 22 females) participated. _x000D_ _x000D_ Multiple regression analyses revealed that both in visual and voice features, the likelihood to have life consultations, is highly contributed by fashionability, and intelligence, positively. The evaluations of eight items between the visual and voice features in the same person, were highly correlated, e.g. the likelihood to have life consultations, r (199)= 0.29._x000D_ _x000D_ Additionally, their voices were analyzed acoustically. The averages and the standard deviations of the fundamental frequencies of the each speakers’ voice correlated positively with the attractiveness, sense of humor and likelihood to have life consultations. There were some systematic differences between male and female evaluators in the correlations of the acoustic properties and the subjective estimations. For example, harmonics to noise ratio and sense of humor were positively correlated highly in the female participants but negatively correlated in the male participants. _x000D_ _x000D_ Even though, there are some inconsistencies between the current results and the results in some previous similar studies, there are a lot of appropriate correspondences. We could shed light on the visual (facial) and voice features and also the interactions of them, for enhancing the likelihood to have life consultations. _x000D_
