要約(日本語): An electric vehicle is one of a solution for a smart city transportation technology in making reliable transportation and providing safety for the user. However, technology development had increased challenges in the safety of the electric vehicle battery operating system. With high energy density, low memory effect, and good performance at high temperatures, lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are commonly used as an energy source. The key concern for li-ion battery, however, is that the fault can occur during battery operation causing a deteriorating output, thermal runaway, fires, and explosion. The faults in the battery system are divided into many types and each of these faults occurrence is random during the process of operation. The accuracy of fault diagnosis is important to prevent the fault hazard. This project is focusing on the generating of gasses and plating fault for the li-ion battery.
