要約(英語): A sulfonated carbon catalyst for biomass transformation plays an important role in biofuel production, and we succeeded in producing it in 1M H2SO4 solution at room temperature via gas-liquid interfacial plasma. Unfortunately, the main reaction mechanism is unclear. In this study, to comprehending the radical reaction field in the gas-liquid interface which is the key to realize why plasma can make the sulfonation process succeed, we conducted optical emission spectroscopy with an ICCD camera to specify the key radicals generated in the gas phase with different power supplies. The obtained data will be discussed with the results of measurements of liquid-phase radicals using electron spin resonance spectroscopy.
