要約(英語): To evaluate the traveling-wave protection and fault locator device, the device was installed in a substation. And the power line current and voltage were taken into the device. In response to a lightning failure on a transmission line, the device identified the location of the failure. Because the result was almost the same as the estimated failure location, the ability of this device was confirmed.Additionally, the conditions to which the device can be applied were organized, and the possibility of application to the Chubu Electric Power’s power system was evaluated.
