要約(日本語): 大学2年生のとき、大学が用意したプログラムを利用し、約4ヶ月間の海外留学をした。ところが期待していた楽しい留学生活と異なり、挫折を味わう苦悶の日々を送ることになった。本報告では、これから海外留学を考える学生、あるいは海外留学に抵抗を感じている学生に向け、体験談から良かったことや悪かったことを伝え、葛藤の中で得た海外留学を無駄にしないための教訓を共有する。

要約(英語): This report shares a four-month studying-abroad experience as an undergraduate student through the program provided by Tokyo City University. Before going abroad, it must be an enjoyable and exciting study lifestyle there is imagined. However, it turned out to be a lot of difficulties and frustration. In this report, not only happy memories but also painful experience during the study abroad are mentioned. It also includes the instructive story to benefit the period of study abroad even with some mental struggle. It could be expected that the experience stories introduced in this article are helpful for students who are thinking about studying abroad or who still have hesitation in studying abroad.
