In the long term, this creates a need for investments in the transmission and distribution grids to increase capacity. At the same time, consumer flexibility, demand-side response, energy storage and other new technology offers great opportunities to reduce consumption, especially during peak load hours. Since the grid is dimensioned based on consumption during peak load hours, this could reduce the need for new investments in the grid._x000D_ The TSO operates under the principle of the most socio-economic valuable solutions for balancing demand and generation. Hence, in this paper, an application of LMP to the balancing power market in terms of the control reserve (DkW) was proposed with the East 30 machine model. _x000D_
