要約(英語): This paper presents a sensing system of the forces acting on the foot plantar surface during the gait cycle in real-world environments compatible with any flat surface footwear size. The contact with the ground is established through 4 force sensors located on a pair of flat polyester plates in a rectangular arrangement on each shoe outsole. This arrangement facilitates the estimation of ground reaction force and its instantaneous application point along the foot longitudinal axis. In addition, the dominant foot motions involved in the user's characteristic gait pattern can be analyzed by the modal decomposition method based on Hadamard matrix.
