要約(日本語): 画質の悪い状態で撮影された紙クーポン画像から数値データを取得する二値化技術の適用評価を示す。本研究では画質の悪い写真画像を処理するために影のある画像も二値化できる可変しきい値の二値化技術を採用した。様々な撮影条件で撮影された複数の紙クーポン画像を対象に実験し，影のある画像を効果的に処理できることが確認できた。この結果，紙クーポンをデータ化する情報システムが低コストで開発可能となった。

要約(英語): The applicable evaluation of the binarization technique which is used for converting the poor-quality photo images of paper coupons used in a street bar into numeric value is presented. To handling tha poor-quality photo images, the binarization technique with variable threshold which can binarize even images with shadows is adopted in this research. Through the test of several paper coupon images taken under various shooting conditions, it is confirmed that the tested binarization technique with variable threshold can be effectively handle the shading images. As the result, the low cost development of an acceptable information system for the paper coupon is foreseen.
