要約(英語): Before and after the opening of the Tokyo Electric Light Company in 1887, Ichisuke Fujioka and Kunihiko Iwadare, who contributed to the establishment of the electric light companies, as well as Hatsune Nakano of the Imperial University　and the promising engineers associated with the the Ministry of Communications visited the United States and Europe to observe the state of advanced electric technologies.　Although the electric power business was becoming active, they faced the electrical accidents as well as the electric current war.　 This paper investigates the situation of these visits and contributes to the evaluation of the various measures adopted in Japan.
