要約(英語): The authors compared thunderstorm days observed by the JMA 50 years ago with those observed by the JLDN from 2011 to 2020. The most thunderstorm day observed by the JLDN was 51.5 days per year in the area of the prefecture border between Akita and Yamagata in the latest decade. In the results, the number of thunderstorm days observed by the JMA 50 years ago was almost similar to those observed by the JLDN recently in the coastal area of the Pacific Ocean in east Japan. However, the number of thunderstorm days observed by the JLDN was approximately 5 to 10 days larger than those observed by the JMA in the coastal area of the Sea of Japan.
