要約(英語): This paper investigates VFTs based on EMT simulation results by a frequency-dependent (FD) line model with an accurate earth-return impedance and admittance. The VFT oscillating frequency is, in principle, proportional to the total length of buses, DSs and CBs in the GIS. However, the frequency is decreased easily less than a half by stray capacitances of transformers and bushings in the GIS, because those are far greater than the bus capacitance. Although the pipe grounding reduces the pipe voltage significantly as easily estimated, the core voltage tends to increase as the grounding resistance becomes smaller. The grounding causes only minor influence on the oscillating frequency. The position of an operating dis-connector causes a very significant effect on the VFT over-voltages and oscillating frequency. The distance to the open-circuited remote end from the DS is short, the overvoltage and frequency become very high. The effect of spacers is similar to that of a stray capacitance, but the effect is less noticeable for the smaller capacitance of the spacers. The effect charging conditions is less noticeable than the effect of an operating DS._x000D_ The analytical formulas explained in this chapter show a satisfactory agreement with the EMT results._x000D_
