要約(英語): The current gross bidding by major electric power companies was launched in 2017 under a voluntary base. Former General Electric Power Companies commit transactions in day-ahead markets of the Japan Electric Power Exchange (JEPX) including their in-house transactions. Some exceptional transactions were allowed in situations where they found risks of supply capacity shortages. In those cases, full repurchase was permitted, and bidding based on marginal cost would not be conducted. We must seek for new developments of the gross bidding in accordance with further liberalization of electric power exchange transactions in Japan.
