要約(日本語): The stereotyped structure of the neocortical microcircuit, which consists of six layers, is often used to investigate the process of the visual signal. Both top-down and bottom-up attentional modulation can be modeled by such columnar microcircuits. However, previous studies only provide qualitative results for the modulation of direct and indirect pathways in the visual cortex by numerical simulation of finite neurons. This study employs Ott-Antonsen Ansatz to the neuronal population described by the modified theta model and constructs two columnar structures with spatial selectivity. By analyzing the derived differential equation, the modulation of direct and indirect pathways is analyzed.
