要約(英語): Music-induced synchronization is believed to play crucial roles to strengthen social bonding in human society. We allowed rats to interact only with a specific rat in each of three acoustic environments: silence, Mozart's Sonata for two pianos in D major (K.448) in the original tempo, and its double tempo. Consequently, after four weeks, pairs interacted under music in its original tempo exhibited higher preference than before. Considering head movement of rats synchronizes more strongly to the music in the original tempo than in the double tempo, the result suggests music-induced synchronous movements between individuals induced may strengthen social bonding in rats.
