要約(日本語): Arc lamp is used as industrial light sources, which is using the radiant power emitted from an arc formed between electrodes. An example of use as an industrial light source is the process of heating an object by giving it the high radiant power of an arc lamp. However, the clear index for heat input by radiation is difficult to be elucidated by experiment, a numerical simulation was developed for solving this problem. Although calculations of object heating by radiation in arc have been performed, the optical thickness in the space between the emission source and the object has not been considered. Therefore, in this research, a calculation method for object heating with considering the optical thickness in arc lamp is developed by using three-dimensional electromagnetic thermal fluid simulation.
