要約(日本語): One of the technical issues in plasma arc cutting is the Hf cathode erosion which arises from the contact between Hf cathode and the high-temperature plasma. We have so far developed a numerical thermofluid model for arc plasma considering the evaporation and transport of Hf cathode vapor inside and outside the torch. In the present work, the effect of nitrogen mixing on oxygen gas was numerically investigated in thermofluid fields in arcs as well as the erosion amount of Hf cathode.
