要約(日本語): The safe and stable operation of vacuum circuit breakers plays an important role in the power system’s reliability. Beyond the expected lifetime, vacuum interrupters commonly lose the vacuum with a higher leakage rate, resulting in a decrease in discharge voltage and eventual failure of the vacuum circuit breakers. In this study, an experimental setup for detecting partial discharge and vacuum leakage inside a vacuum interrupter was developed by arbitrarily regulating the internal pressure through several valves. The shield potential was varied with the combinations of connected capacitance, whose values were set at about 50% and 60% of the applied voltage. From the experimental results, the discharge characteristics at various floating shield potentials at each internal pressure inside the vacuum interrupter were discussed.
