要約(日本語): The odor biosensors based on cell expressing OR were first introduced in the liquid phase. To extend the application scenarios of these biosensors from liquid phase into gas phase, a thin liquid film covering the sensing cells was preferred because it ensures the aqueous environment for preserving the cell viability and also allows the hydrophobic odorant molecules to penetrate it. In this paper, we illustrated a feedback control method for maintaining the thin liquid layer. The actuator could be electroosmotic (EO) pump or syringe pump. In addition, the fine adjustment of liquid film thickness is also introduced. With these techniques, long biosensor lifetime and favorable biosensor responses could be obtained.
