要約(英語): To improve the cost of electricity supply to underpopulated areas, off-grid configurations are being considered. The flexibility of composition and sizing of off-grid would flexibly accommodate the uncertainty in long-term electricity demand growth. When considering off-grid configurations, it is important to evaluate the economics, and the cost highly depends on a variety of local area characteristics. In this paper, the cost impact of the smoothing effect of photovoltaics and the increase/decrease in electricity demand are assessed.
