Train drivers visually confirm the indications of temporary signals, the locations of which are indeterminate, ensuring the safe operation of the train. We have developed a temporary signal detection system to support train drivers and mitigate the risk of speeding incidents. This paper reports the results of a performance evaluation of the speed indicator recognition functionality conducted on the test track.
