要約(英語): Calligraphy is a traditional Japanese cultural practice that has been widely appreciated; however, in recent years, opportunities to engage in calligraphy have been decreasing. While it is possible to perform writing actions using smartphones or tablets with stylus pens or similar tools, the reproduction of calligraphy requires conveying the unique tactile experience of using a brush. This study aims to investigate the effects of recreating the calligraphy experience in a virtual space using virtual reality (VR) technology, with a focus on how this influences the writer.
