要約(英語): In general, water utilities typically purchase electricity from retail power companies. If the water utilities can directly trade electricity at wholesale power exchanges, the electricity costs can be more reduced. In the previous study, we compared the traditional operation of the water utility and the new operation under the assumption of their participation into the wholesale electricity, and the simulation results showed the potential of the cost reduction. In this paper, the cost reduced by the new operation is quantitatively evaluated considering the actual electricity rates including transmission loss ratio, consignment charges, and other related factors.
