要約(日本語):Sulphur hexafluoride(SF6) is commonly employed as an arc extinction medium in circuit breakers. However, due to its remarkably high global warming potential, various efforts are still in progress to develop environmentally sustainable alternatives. The use of CO2 and O2 mixture are being studied for arc quenching medium as naturally origin gases. However, CO2 and O2 have a limited arc interruption abilities. To increase the arc quenching performance, the addition of other materials is one strategy. The present study explores the addition of polymer vapor into CO2/O2 through evaporation and molecular dissociation to enhance quenching performance. The paper presents calculations of the equilibrium composition, thermodynamic properties, and transport properties CO2/O2 with polymer vapor as a preliminary step to assess their arc quenching potential.
