要約(英語): Entrepreneurship has become a source of economic transition from low productivity areas to high productivity. It is thus necessary for any nation to develop the capacity of their entrepreneurs in order to remain competitive in this challenging millennium. Research in entrepreneurship has underlined the importance of education and training in developing the capacity of entrepreneurs. Existing training programs are emphasizing on basic entrepreneurship skills and product innovation. These types of training approaches has limited successes and there is a need to reexamine the education and training modules for entrepreneurs in order to prepare them better for the global challenges. Focusing on the ICT entrepreneurs in Malaysia, this paper proposed a model that combines elements that are deemed important to the development of an entrepreneur. In the proposed model, characteristics of the T-shaped skill set, necessary entrepreneurship skills and learning theory are identified as important elements that should be incorporated into the curriculum of ICT entrepreneur development programs in order to produce successful entrepreneurs.
