要約(英語): To understand neural activities, optical imaging is a very important tool. An implantable imaging device based on a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor has very small dimensions and achieves low invasiveness to the animal. To enhance its applications in freely behaving experiments, a small circuit system for transferring imaging data with high throughput is developed in this work. A microcontroller embedded with the USB high-speed interface is used to satisfy system requirements in a 35x45mm circuit board. The system is tested with a single 124 x 269 Pixel CMOS image sensor and an average frame rate of 180 fps was achieved.
