要約(日本語): Sheath sectionalizing insulators in cross-bonded cable systems and the insulators in a single-point bonded-cable system may flashover due to overvoltages generated by lightning, switching surges, or faults on the power system. It is necessary to provide some form of protection for these insulators under system transient conditions. At present, SVL(Sheath Voltage Limiter)s are used for this purpose.
In the actual power system, a few SVLs were damaged in combined transmission line which is connected with overhead line and underground cable last year. So we investigated the failure reason and proposed the improved system.
The modeling for simulation is established using the actual system in EMTP(Electric Transient Program). The simulation result demonstrated the best way to prevent form SVL’ damage in the given transmission line through the detailed analysis and its assessment.
