要約(日本語): A series type Back to Back (BTB) converter with double vector control for balancing transformer power between adjacent distribution lines is proposed. The series type BTB converter is installed between two distribution lines which have unbalance loads. Two configurations of unbalance loads, small and large unbalance, are discussed to balance their transformer powers by using a series type BTB converter. For the small unbalance loads, to balance the transformers is sharing the unbalance load between two lines. For the large unbalance, balancing is done by combining a series type BTB converter with a balancer wire to displace balance point of distribution loads. The balancer wire connects the end of the distribution lines. This concept results a small capacity of series transformer in compensating a large unbalance load. In addition, series type BTB converter has series transformer which has behavior as a current transformer. Therefore, it is easy to be installed and compact. To success the converter operation, control scheme is designed based on equivalent circuit analysis of system. To verify the proposed method, operation of the BTB converter is simulated by using PSCAD/EMTDC.
