要約(日本語): Recently, insulators with polymeric materials have been used widely around Europe and America. As compared with the traditional porcelain material, polymer has several advantages of lightweight, high contamination resistance and so on. Especially, its good hydrophobicity can suppress the formation of continuous water film on the surface and keep its excellent insulation performance in the wetting condition. However, it deteriorates depending on climate conditions since polymer is an organic matter. When the insulation performance degrades, it is not known how high the level of leakage current will become. So the influence of climate conditions on crest value of leakage current for polymeric insulator in field test was investigated in this research.
